By Joe The biggest cultural shock here to me is the working environment for the companies. Compared to companies in China, the working environment here is absolutely a paradise. The difference may due to the relatively ease to acquire a land here, since they are cheaper than those in China. However, the essential reason behind the difference may stem from that the companies here are more concerned about the life quality of their employees. They are more generous in putting money to improve the environments for their workers. Working a in comfortable environment, workers tend to achieve much higher efficiencies since they are more likely to love their jobs and then devote themselves into their careers.
